Copy Cat

So, I read a lot. I mean like, a helluva lot. I'm a member on goodreads.com (Ever wanna catch up with me it's www.goodreads.com/jess_readerwriter). Anywho, I review a lot of books. I've started reading the book Evernight by Claudia Gray.

There is just so much I want to say about it. . . .

I have read this book before but, I recently bought the second one and thought, "Shoot, I don't remember anything from the first book."

I picked it up and began reading. Before I even started the book, I had a feeling that I wouldn't like it as much as I did before (Back when Twilight was like the Bible).

I didn't bother checking the publication date to see if Twilight was first or if Evernight was. So here's what I'm trying to say: The lead male role in both books are probably the same guy. Secretly. . . .

Gray described Lucas as being strong, with pale skin, golden hair, and an angular face. Extremely fast was another one. Beautiful. She left out the part about his skin being like marble. But maybe I just haven't gotten to it yet.

Another thing that really got on my nerves was how the lead female character, Bianca, falls head-over-heels in love with Lucas after just 60 pages in the book. They meet in chapter one. He's just standing there. In the woods (I think it was the woods. . . .) and no one bothers to wonder why some guy is randomly standing there?

I think it was way too perfect irony, if you ask me.

"What kind of life am I supposed to have without you? You were the one good thing, the only good thing I ever found."
So, here we are again. The girl who believes she isn't beautiful and is surrounded by beautiful people. The girl who thinks she doesn't fit in and won't. The girl who is shy around everyone but the bronze haired beauty who showed up out of no where and thinks he's a monster is somehow drawing the girls attention.

The plot so far isn't very predictable but the love story within it is.

I'm just waiting for him to tell her he sparkles.

Onto my next thought:

I'm writing my own book, I love to write. It's my thing. So, I thought I'd share some things about it. I may not get feedback but it'd just be cool, to me, to have things about my story elsewhere than in my Word documents.

It's a story about another planet and several different types of races that I'm sure you've never heard of because I made them up, who are in a sport called The Elite Races. Everyone fights, no one dies, so don't say I'm like Suzanne Collins' The Hunger Games.

A certain race has what you call, a potential. I guess you could call them "powers" but, they all aren't necessarily people who can shoot sparks from their hands.

Everyone does something different and the main character, Adelaide, finds out she is a mix of three different races which makes her the most powerful in all of Surophys, the planet.

Unfortunately, Adelaide doesn't know Surophys exists, nor does she know what she is. Freya, Adelaide's "aunt", made a deal with a man who's race is the Unseen (Instead of casting spells, they draw the spells on your skin but their most common thing is that they can make everything invisible. They even have their own invisible minions.).

The deal was, once the Invisibility Spell, drawn on her back, breaks, she will have to go to Gillus and become a Healer as apart of his team in the Elite Races. Lots more goes on but, the invisibility spell hides Adelaide's wings. They're tattooed on her back and when she turns into a full blown race (In which, I'm not going to discuss what it is. No, don't be silly, she's not an angel), her wings shoot from her back into real wings.

I just wanted to show you a picture of what her wings may look like and what I had in mind of what she looks like full blown race!

You like? I do. :) I think these wings are beautiful.

No, I don't really like Anime. I also don't have anything against people who like it. I'm just not a nerd about it. This is what she will look like all full-blown race and stuufffff. :D

That is my story for the day. The end.
